Participation

We are looking for participants to take part in psychological and neurophysiological experiments.

During our experiments, you will receive tactile, visual, or auditory stimuli. You will indicate what you perceive and how you perceive it by pushing buttons or controlling a lever. In some experiments, neurophysiological methods (e.g., EEG, TMS) will be used.

All the experiments are non-invasive and have been approved by the Ethics Committee for Human studies at the Shizuoka University.

You will be paid 1000 yen per hour for taking part.
Experiments last between 1 to 4 hours.

To take part you must
- be right-handed
- be between 18-45 years of age (people less than 19 have to take the permission of their parents or guardians)
- have normal vision or wear glasses that correct vision completely
- have no neurological or other illness
- be able to understand Japanese instructions

When an experiment is scheduled, those who registered in our lists will receive a recruitment mail.
This will include explanations about the experiment such as measurement methods (e.g., behavioral recoding only, using EEG), tasks (e.g., judgment of temporal order of stimuli), and the approximate time required for participation (e.g., 3 hours).
